Introduction and Design Features |

| The
all new PHV is designed to provide all the answers to all the
needs of the rotary table user.
The
PHV is based on existing technology, however it has embraced
the improvements in all areas of the design and manufacture
of rotary table components, to provide the end user with optimum
performance and safety, combined with user friendliness not
found in other manufacturers products.
The
PHV table has extensive new features, including high load
capacities, very high accuracy combined with a large through
bore. The large bore can be fitted with special adapters to
provide for any location or mounting requirement. Many of
these combined features are currently unavailable on our competitors
products.

The
table is fitted with two large diameter high accuracy wire
race bearings providing huge loading capacity, the front bearing
being 90% of the size of the faceplate. This also provides
for extensive twisting moment characteristics. The wormshaft
is of dual lead technology, providing for high precision and
ongoing quality of performance.
The
integral hydraulic clamping system consists of 3 dual clamping
shoes (2 on the 350 and 450 models), locking the outside diameter
of the wormwheel. Each clamp shoe can be individually controlled
to maximise its performance. The system is fed by a specially
prepared HAWE FP electric clamping pump (where fitted). The
HAWE pump has been specially selected with an innovative clear
tank design to monitor the oil levels. The system also incorporates
all required switching and monitoring functions required by
the target machine control system.

The
table faceplate is designed to incorporate an optional 4 jaw
independent chuck feature, this minimises the cost and maximises
the working envelope of the machine (to view all the various

Should the client require a self centering or automated chuck,
the faceplate can be removed to expose a standard chuck recess
mount, optimising the location accuracy of the additional
equipment and the large bore providing capacity for the automation
equipment required by the large diameter chuck. (For all information

All
the PHV range is available with large or special faceplate
options together with increased centre height feature.

A
large through bore, encompassing large standard imperial and
metric sizes, for use with large and lengthy components. This
is combined with a main axis mounted high accuracy encoder,
that can be specified to provide extreme high accuracy to
better than 1 arc second, or positional control to better
than 0,00001 degrees.
The
table is designed to allow for the motor to be mounted on
the left or right side and the casting prepared to accept
the new standard clamping blocks for easy mounting of the
unit to any standard table or floor plate hole spacing. The
table is also fully sealed and air purged to avoid any coolant
ingress.
